The new ProHD camcorder is fully compatible with 720p/50, 60 NLE systems developed by four major manufacturers. Direct file access through IEEE 1394 ensure the original image quality is maintained throughout the transfer procedure. With the NLE system, versatile editing effects are available (e.g., overcrank/undercrank) for your convenience. In addition, the ProHD's dual recording system provides fast and efficient HDD-based editing and cost effective archiving. In addition, with DFA technology, no file transfer, nor capturing, nor rendering are required. By using the optional DR-HD100 HDD or BR-HD50, you can transfer video, audio and time code to an NLE system compatible for HDV and DV editing.
Full support with 720p/50,60 non-linear editing systems developed by major manufacturers.
Non-linear editing compatible with
major manufactures
JVC’s ProHD camcorder is fully compatible with 720p/50, 60 non-linear editing systems developed by major manufacturers such as Apple, Avid, Canopous, and Matrox. Recent advancements in non-linear editing enables edit the ProHD camcorder on virtually major non-linear editing systems, including "Final Cut Pro", "Avid Liquid", "Eduius Pro/Broadcast" "Matrox Axio".
Image quality guaranteed in progressive HDV format
With native support for progressive HDVformat, these powerful applications enablesto capture, edit, and play back to video fromthe GY-HD110 ,200 and 250 series camcorders (24p, 25p, 30p, 50p, 60p:50/60p for GY-HD200/HD250 series only)through IEEE 1394. Direct digital transfersthrough IEEE 1394 ensure the original qualityis maintained throughout the transferprocedure. Whether the user is working soloor collaborating with a team, these innovativetools assist to deliver the real time power andflexibility they need to complete any project.
Hybrid DFA solution Best way in transition period
Innovative dual recording system
JVC's popular Hybrid DFA solution has a dual recording system of tape and hard disk. The dual recording system provides fast and efficient HDD-based editing and cost-effective archiving. Thanks to the newly developed MPEG-2 encoding IC, high-quality pictures can be recorded on readily available compact HDV tapes, and running costs remain minimal. As no special equipment or exclusive media are required, the operating costs of the total system can be maintained low.
The DFA (Direct File Access) technology and NLE Interoperability
DFA enables the recording of video, audio and time code directly removable IEEE1394 disk drives. Edit ready clips are immediately available to the NLE system
Advanced system ideal for ENG
The ProHD camcorder can be used as a convenient ENG camera. The user can minimize time spent on transferring material to one place to another by operating an NLE system for HDV and DV editing. DFA technology enables to record clips in native NLE file formats, and editing can begin immediately after shooting. This eliminates the need to first capture and then convert files before editing. No file transfer, nor capturing, nor rendering are required at this time. The user can use the optional DR-HD100 instantly with the most popular NLE applications. As new application support is released, the optional DR-HD100 can be updated in the field with new system software,by an easy process using the disk drive itself.
