The menu template editing software "Easymenu" is an application exclusively designed for the professional DVD recorder BD-X200 series. You can easily create original templates for BD-X200 using a PC. Created templates can be transferred to and stored in the BD-X200 unit for simple and easy production of high-quality original DVDs.

[Recommended operating environment]

OS Windows XP (Home Edition or Professional) CPU Pentium 3, 1GHz or faster RAM 256 MB or more Others Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or later must be installed. The Microsoft .NET Framework Ver. 1.1 run-time library is required. Also, critical updates that can be obtained from the Microsoft Security website. Display resolution of 1024x768 dots or more.

Check the capacity of the software to be downloaded.   Check if Microsoft .NET Framework is installed on your PC.   If it is not installed, download it from Microsoft Corporation's website through Windows Update menu.   Download "Easymenu" from this page. (Self-extracting file)   Extract the downloaded "Easymenu" file.   Execute the Setup.exe file in the extracted files to install "Easymenu".   Check that "Easymenu" starts up normally.

2-1  Execute [Add or Remove Programs] from [Control Panel] 2-2  If the "Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1" program is installed, proceed to [Step 4]. If it is not installed, proceed to [Step 3].

3-1  Execute [Windows Update] from [Start] menu. Note: Security measures for the Internet connection and downloading are the responsibility of the customer. 3-2  Windows Update website opens. Click "Scan for Updates" to start searching for necessary updates. 3-3  The "Windows XP update" screen is displayed. Click "Windows XP" in the "Pick updates to install" item. Check that "Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1" is displayed in the recommended updates column. Click [Add], then click [Review and install updates]. 3-4  The "Total Number of Updates Selected" screen is displayed. When you click "Install now", the update downloading starts. 3-5  When download and installation are complete, close the Windows Update screen. (If other Windows updates are carried out at the same time, it is necessary to restart your computer. Follow the instructions on your screen.) 3-6  Return to [Step 2] and check that Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 is installed.

Click [Download] button at the bottom of this page to start downloading.

5-1  Double-click "InstEasymenu-JP.exe" file to open it. The self-extraction program activates. 5-2  Click [Unzip] to start extraction. When message window appears, click [OK] to complete the extraction. InstEasyMenu-JP folder has been created.

6-1  Double-click "Setup.exe" in InstEasyMenu-JP folder and installation starts. Start the installation according to the instructions on your screen. 6-2  Click [Next >]. Setup wizard is displayed. 6-3  Click [Next >]. The usage license contract menu is displayed. 6-4  Read the software usage license contract. If you agree to its terms, check [I Agree], then click [Next >]. If you do not agree to the terms, select [Cancel], which terminates installation. 6-5  Specify the folder to install Easymenu. If you do not specify a folder, a folder named "JVC\Easymenu" is created automatically in the "Program Files" folder. Click [Next >]. 6-6  This completes the preparations for installing. Click [Next >]. 6-7  Easymenu is being installed. 6-8  The Easy menu installation is complete. Click [Close].

Select [Start] -> [All Programs] -> [JVC] -> [Easymenu] -> [Easymenu] to start up the Easymenu. When the software starts normally, then the installation is complete successfully. A shortcut icon is automatically created on the desktop. Clicking the icon is another way to check that the software starts normally. For operation instructions of Easymenu, read the "User's Guide" in the [Program Files] -> [JVC] -> [Easymenu] folder.
